Recommended Interface Circuitry for the Primary-Side Connector
Increase the minimum pulse suppression time for input with electrical interface. Additional capacitor CF and Schmitt trigger IC1 can be used to provide input signal filtering. The layout should be closed the device pin. It is not recommended to apply a RC network directly to IN as the jitter of the propagation delay may increase considerably. The use of a Schmitt-trigger is recommended to avoid this drawback.
